Job Shadow

Job shadowing is a way for students interested in a particular career to follow a working professional in that job for a short period of time. Students learn about the job characteristics, work environment, skills and competencies needed to be successful, and get a front-row seat to see what it’s like working in that profession.

It’s an extremely effective way to get exposure to one or more careers.

For Midland County students, we ask that you complete the Matchmaker Assessment in Xello (formally Career Cruising) within the last SIX months. If you have issues logging in, please contact your counselor OR cte@midlandesa.org.

Complete our online job shadow application and a ConneCTEd Career Development Facilitator will be in touch with you shortly regarding the next steps in the job shadow process.
